"Of Antiquity" Pair
of Original Pastels - By Deborah Rush
Auctioned live as part of the "60's Revisited" Dinner, Dance, &
Art Auction |
| |
Deborah Rush, with 23 years of
experience as an artist, continues to build upon her creative
repertoire of portraying the splendor of the Arabian horse. Her deep
personal bond with her own two Koheilat-Ajuz mares, as well as an
abiding interest in Bedouin culture, provide both the personal and
historical background which makes her artwork unique. She also
deeply admires the breeders around the world who are devoted to the
natural beauty, charm, and uniqueness of this desert horse.
In 2004, Deborah will begin the first in a series of international
exhibits, beginning in May with an unveiling of new sculptures and
drawings, courtesy of Idan Atiq Egyptian Stud in Israel. In the
spirit of the “artist as adventurer,” further travel and exhibits
will include Jordan, Italy, Egypt and England, as well as completing
a work for the annual Art Auction at the Egyptian Event. Deborah is
extremely grateful for the ever-increasing support for her work
around the world, and also for the friendships which have developed
with so many of her cherished clients. She also looks forward to
meeting other Arabian horse enthusiasts, seeing beautiful horses,
and making new friends during her upcoming travels.
Deborah realizes that the art of the Arabian must now be viewed in a
global perspective. “I have long recognized,” she explains, “how
this magnificent creature, a gift from God, unites diverse people in
fulfilling a great passion.” It is Deborah’s dream, just as her
beloved mares enrich her own life, to enrich the lives of others by
portraying her passion for the Arabian breed. |
