Rick Augustine has created numerous classical paintings and sculptures of Arabian horses, renowned for their realism and feeling. Rick’s works have been used as awards for prestigious Arabian shows and stake race winners and have graced the covers several publications. His works have been displayed at the Kentucky Derby Museum and Arabian Horse Museum. His works are in fine art collections worldwide, and have been the high selling pieces at several prestigious art auctions, including past Egyptian Events.

Due to a chronic back problem, Rick had to curtail his activities for several years. But spinal surgery a few years ago corrected that situation, which has given him a new lease on life. In 2007 Rick donated one of his limited edition bronzes to the Event Auction, helped announce the Event Art Auction and assisted with the art display area. His time and talents will be utilized again next year, as Rick was asked, and agreed to serve on the 2008 Event Art Auction committee.

For those attending the 2007 Event, another of Rick’ talents was also unveiled. Unknown to many in Arabian circles, Rick has been a singer all his life, including performing leading roles in a number of musical productions. On finals night at the 2007 Event, Rick wowed the crowd with his amazing rendition of the National Anthem. In response, Rick has already been invited to perform at the 2008 Egyptian Event. Rick has also created a wonderful music CD (Using the stage name: Rik Augustin*), and is currently working on a second CD due for release in the summer of 2008.
