Judy & Kim Nordquist

"The Spirit Shall Be Free" - By Kim Nordquist

Kim Nordquist began her sculpting career in 1992 when she introduced
Limited Artwear Editions, an exclusive collection of hand-sculpted original jewelry. Her jewelry designs are unique in that they are actually works of art. Rather than a static study of the subject, Kim’s special flair captures the life and presence of her spirited equine subjects creating an heirloom to be treasured for generations.

After a couple of years designing jewelry and working in such a small scale, Kim wanted to work in a larger, more dramatic size, so she began sculpting the Arabian horse in bronze. To date she has completed several bronze sculptures ranging in size from miniature to Life-size! Kim has a flair for the dramatic and therefore enjoys working on the larger scale subjects from wall reliefs to Life-size sculptures. As a medium of self-expression, her pieces can be viewed as a source of beauty and inspiration.

Both Kim’s bronze sculptures and jewelry can be found in the prestigious collections of individuals throughout the world. She has completed several commissioned, one-of-a-kind jewelry designs requested by her patrons. Also, she has worked with her mother, Judy Nordquist, on numerous commissioned portrait bronze sculptures for their clients throughout the world.

Kim has traveled extensively including to the Middle East, Jordan and Morocco researching the history of the Arabian horse. But most importantly, she has spent countless hours studying and working closely with her mother, the world renown Arabian bronze artist, Judy Nordquist. Exhibiting grace and magnificence, the sculpture and jewelry created by Kim Nordquist will be treasured by generations to come!
