NEW BOOK SOON TO BE AVAILABLE THROUGH THE PYRAMID SOCIETY
The Arab Horse by Peter Upton will soon be available through The Pyramid Society. This book provides a complete record of all the desert-bred horses imported into Britain after Padischah, from whom all present day purebred Arab horses descend. Peter Upton provides a narrative history of the desert journeys of those early British enthusiasts who went in search of horses suitable for shipping back to Britain, most notably Major Roger Upton, Wilfrid Scawen and Lady Anne Blunt (founders of the famous Crabbet Stud in 1878), and the Honourable Miss Dillon. Thereafter, and often in the words of the original importers, the author gives detailed descriptions of the eighty-six horses who have lines existing to this day. There follow detailed tables of descent of mares and stallions, and sections on Bedouin horse breeders, the origins of the Arab horse, and the development of strains.

Lavishly illustrated with 60 full-page color portraits of horses by the author, and color reproductions of famous paintings of Arab horses by Wootton, Herring, Stubbs, Landseer and others, and with 160 black and white and sepia photographs, sketches and etchings, this revised and expanded edition of The Arab Horse will delight and inform all those with an interest in this most beautiful breed. This book, which is sure to appeal to all Arabian enthusiasts, will be available this spring on this website or by calling our office at (859) 231-0771. The cost is $71.00 plus s/h.

BREED TO AN EGYPTIAN ARABIAN STALLION AND REAP THE BENEFITS!
Are you currently making plans for the 2007 breeding season? Egyptian Arabians not only make excellent breeding choices, but through The Pyramid Society, they also offer huge financial incentives. Just in time for the breeding season we offer two programs that provide a wonderful introduction to the Egyptian Arabian industry:

This year’s Egyptian Breeders’ Challenge (EBC) Auction broke all previous records. The proceeds from this auction will fund $80,000.00+ in prize money for the EBC classes of 2009! If you’ve not already purchased a breeding at this year’s auction, don’t worry...you still have a chance. Click on the link to access the list of EBC breedings still available for the 2007 season and contact The Society’s office for more details. The EBC—You’ve Got To Be In It To Win It!

          EBC BREEDINGS STILL AVAILABLE!

The Stallion Owner Participation Program is an incentive program, whereby participating stallion owners offer to pay one-half of the futurity nomination fee for mares bred to their stallions. Click on the link below to peruse the list of Stallion Owner Participants when making your 2007 breeding plans.
