THE PYRAMID SOCIETY VIVA LAS VEGAS!
The Pyramid Society was on the road again and this time the
destination was Las Vegas, Nevada, for the Arabian Breeders’ World
Cup on April 20-22. Attendees were welcomed into “The City that
Never Sleeps,” with a wonderful gala on Thursday night at the
magnificent Wynn Hotel. The show itself had all the bells and
whistles that create excitement and leave the attendees wanting
more. And owners from around the world brought their best horses to
be showcased in this venue, with many of them having a strong
Egyptian influence in their pedigrees. Congratulations to Al
Khalediah Stables with their beautiful mare *Athenaa AHSB (Ashhal Al
Rayyan x Ass-Windi), being named Senior Mare Reserve Champion.
The Pyramid Society also hosted a commercial booth and a special
thanks to Ed & Merrie Aiken for their tireless efforts in making
this happen. After all the effort exerted on the set-up of the
booth, it was amazing they still had the time to host such a
wonderful gathering for Egyptian Breeders on Friday, April 20.
Thanks also to Deb Anderson for her assistance with the booth as
well as to Allison Mehta of Talaria Farms for the use of her Pyramid
backdrop and table covers. Another meeting hosted by Merilee Mott on
Saturday, April 21, provided the opportunity for breeders to discuss
bloodlines, promotional methods and influential farms through the
years.

EGYPTIAN H ORSE
DAY IN MAY
Egyptian Horse Day in May is back again! This exciting outreach
program targets the public and local media by unifying Pyramid
Society members across the nation. Members will sponsor, at their
farms, a special day of education, fun, and opportunity to meet the
Egyptian Arabian horse. “Meet us in May for Egyptian Horse Day—Join
us in June at the Egyptian Event” is the slogan and press releases
will be sent to local media to promote this activity. Regional
representatives are challenged to help organize and develop this
concept within their region.
Saturday, May 12th is the chosen date, however other dates in May
can also be selected to suit an individual or group’s needs.
Regardless, everyone is encouraged to target May l2th to take
advantage of press releases and overall unity, date, and purpose. As
in the past, if you plan to sponsor an Egyptian Horse Day activity,
please contact The Pyramid Society so we can help get the word out
and send you promotional materials.
