2005 ARABIAN NATIONALS
The Pyramid Society will have a more prominent booth location in the commercial exhibit area at this year’s Nationals, October 20-29, 2005, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. GINGER TESTING A REMARKABLE SUCCESS AT THE 2005 EGYPTIAN EVENT
The Pyramid Society has always taken a strong and unrelenting stance against the abuse of our dearly loved horses. Thus, in concert with our total commitment to eliminating that abuse, The Pyramid Society pursued the development and implementation of an objective test for ginger and other irritants. Beginning at the 2005 Egyptian Event, the champions of several predetermined classes were tested for the presence of ginger or other irritants. An impartial selection of mares, stallions, and geldings, led by top trainers and amateurs alike, was included in this testing process. We are pleased to announce that every single test taken returned a negative result, meaning no irritants were used on the tested horses. We encourage the entire Arabian industry to insist that testing take place at all Arabian shows. As the entrusted caretakers of our beloved breed, it is our duty to put an end to the abuse of the Arabian horse.

THE PYRAMID SOCIETY’S NEW STRATEGIC PLAN UNVEILED AT THE 2005 EGYPTIAN EVENT
At this year’s Egyptian Event, The Pyramid Society unveiled its new mission statement and strategic plan. The plan identifies the organizations’ values and key areas for action and will provide further direction for The Pyramid Society in the years to come. Included as part of the strategic plan is the desire to foster research on the development and world status of the Egyptian Arabian horse, to be the established source of education on the Egyptian bloodlines, to assertively promote the Egyptian Arabian as well as The Society, and to set forth and implement a rigorous agenda to protect the Egyptian Arabian horse.

The Egyptian Event Europe, August 6-7, 2005
The 2005 Egyptian Event Europe, under the patronage of HH Sh. Abdul Aziz Bin Khaled Bin Hamad Al Thani, Chairman of the Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club, will take place on August 6th and 7th at the historical racetrack of Iffezheim in Baden-Baden, Germany. This year, for the first time, Egyptian Sired horses may compete at The Egyptian Event Europe. Egyptian Sired horses will compete separately from straight Egyptian horses in Top Ten classes for both junior and senior mares and junior and senior stallions with championship classes to follow.

The Gala-Dinner will be held on Saturday evening in the world-renowned Benazet room of the casino, Kurhaus Baden-Baden.
