Bentwood Farms
The 2nd Annual National Egyptian Breeders’ Conference
held at the historical location of Highlander Ranch promises to be
an unforgettable weekend. Highlander Ranch holds enormous historical
importance for Arabian horse owners and breeders. Long before
McLennan Community college purchased the land in 2002, the largest
Egyptian Arabian herd covered the vast pastures. Bentwood Farms,
formerly owned by Jarrell McCracken operated on this land from 1972
- 1988. The success and historical importance of
Bentwood Farms on the Egyptian Arabian horse industry is
unparalleled. Judi Forbis of Ansata Arabian Stud stated, "His
[Jarrell McCracken] syndication of the straight Egyptian stallion,
Ibn Moniet El Nefous changed the face of the Arabian horse market in
general, and the Egyptian Arabian horse in particular.

(Ibn Moniet El Nefous)
For many years breeding seminars were held at Bentwood Farms and
larger numbers of Arabian breeders gathered to learn different
aspects of the Arabian horse business and breeding practices."
Continuing in the tradition held at Bentwood Farms, The Pyramid
Society and Pyramid Foundation, Inc. are offering individuals an
opportunity to look at horses through the eyes of experts who have
spent a lifetime polishing their “lenses”. Then, even more
importantly, individuals will look themselves at horses and compare
their eyes against the eyes of the experts.

Some of the esteemed experts present at this
year's Conference will be Dr. James Heird and Dr. John Shelle. CLICK
