Ann Dorsett of Dorsett Farms in Woolwich Township, NJ, hosted a Free Healthy Horse Clinic on April 8th.  The clinic, organized by The Mid-Atlantic Arabian Horse Association included a lecture and instruction by Dr. Carey Williams, Associate Extension Specialist and Associate Professor in the Department of Animal Sciences at the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences at Rutgers University.

Mayya OGM ( IV Ever Sinan x Marisa RCA ) participated in the St Patrick's Day Parade on March 18th in the Fort Worth Stockyards. The parade is a big annual event in Fort Worth, Texas and this year about 200 horses participated. It was Mayya's first parade and she handled it like a pro. She was ridden by our good friend and Trainer Kelli Connell. Mayya was started under saddle last spring by Andres Castano and she is proving to be a curious and confident mount.

Glenn Stevenson is pleased to announce that GS Arabians recently welcomed their first foal of the year! Glenn states, “GS Salena (FA Ali /Bey x Shakira AKA), born on January 20th, is an exceptionally beautiful filly.  Both mare and foal are doing great, and we could not be happier.”

Lone Star Arabians is proud to announce that their trainer, Kimberly Shutts, has successfully completed the Arabian Horse Association Judges’ Test and is awaiting her official certification.  The future is bright as Kimberly undertakes this next chapter in her already successful career.

The Pyramid Society is saddened to announce the untimely passing of Gerard “Jerry” Dumas on January 8, 2017.  Jerry, along with his wife Brenda, of Rose of Cairo Arabians in Peralta, New Mexico, first joined the Society in 2007.  Jerry was a beloved member of the New Mexico Straight Egyptian Alliance, and all of the group’s gatherings were made much more enjoyable by his engaging wit, charming personality, and fascinating conversation.   Jerry was quick to tell those he met that he was not a “horse person” but was involved with Egyptian Arabians because he
